Purpose of Position: Perform a normal range of Quality Control duties on a wide variety of products which will include gearing assembly and buy-out products from internal and external suppliers.

Position Description:

  • Inspect all specified aspects of work-in-process product, vendor manufactured product, final product and any part as designated.
  • Follows-up on all customer service requests concerning product quality.
  • Assesses and identifies returned products
  • Maintains a timely flow of material by inspecting material promptly.
  • Prepares detailed inspection, corrective action or other forms and reports.
  • Prepare parts as necessary to ensure accurate inspection.
  • Turn in equipment for calibration by required due dates
  • Learn new quality techniques.
  • Notify appropriate personnel promptly when dimensions or finish requirements are approaching rejection limits.
  • Conduct customer specific inspections as needed.
  • Assist other Quality Technicians as needed.
  • Prepare, analyze and maintain detailed reports. Provide periodic reports as necessary.
  • Mark Tags/Stamps upon completion of a particular inspection.
  • Give proper care to tools and equipment.
  • Conduct ISO, 5S, and packaging audits.
  • Perform job capability studies and SPC projects.
  • Assist Quality Engineer as required on Quality Assurance functions such as PPAPs and First Article inspections.
  • Maintain safe and clean work area.
  • Promote team concept.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures.
  • Understand and adhere to all relevant ISO 9001 procedures.
  • Perform any other related duties as directed.
  • Complete all relevant training provided by Regal Rexnord.

Specials Skills:

  • Working knowledge of shop math, part prints, specifications, GD&T, charts, tables, precision measuring equipment, shop practices, quality control and inspection methods.
  • Work in team environment with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills and decision making
  • Able to operate inspection equipment
  • Demonstrate good organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in using computers for day to day activities (MS Office, Oracle, CSW, Nomad, and iQ application)

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift, move, manipulate up to 35 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
