We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team at Sutter Health. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating recreation or leisure-based treatment programs for patients with disabilities, injuries, or illnesses. You will conduct patient evaluations, select treatment plans, and implement interventions for residents. Additionally, you will provide clinical supervision to assistants and aides, and serve as a clinical instructor for assigned students.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited university with a degree in Recreational Therapy
  • Certification & Licensure: REC - Recreational Therapist Upon Hire, CTRS - Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist Upon Hire, BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Upon Hire
  • Minimum of 2 years recent relevant experience
  • Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in Recreational Therapy principles, ability to work independently, strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Job Shift: Days
  • Schedule: Full Time
  • Shift Hours: 8
  • Days of the Week: Monday to Friday
