Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic services to clients with a variety of mental health and addiction issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and relationship problems. The Therapist will utilize evidence-based practices to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients’ mental health and addiction needs, including trauma, PTSD, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders.

Develop, recommend, and review individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment.

Assist clients in developing skills and behaviors necessary to recover from their addiction or modify behaviors.

Facilitate intensive outpatient programming and aftercare groups.

Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.

Monitor clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation.

Participate in regular supervision and professional development activities.

Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards.

Provide crisis intervention as needed.

Maintain credentials and CEUs following Kentucky State Guidelines.

Qualifications:

Current state licensure or certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent, with an active Kentucky state license in one of the following credentials: Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), Certified Social Worker (CSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) is required to qualify for this position.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.

Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices for mental health and addiction treatment.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with specific populations (e.g., children, adolescents, trauma survivors, individuals with substance use disorders).

Specialized training in CBT, DBT, EMDR, or other therapeutic modalities.

Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
