Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting the section supervisor in operation of the area and assisting Cashier/Bookkeepers on more complex problem solving. It is also responsible for quality control and training of staff within the section.

Job Description

  • Assist and educate Cashier/Bookkeepers on resolving problems related to the funds concentration and allocation (Banking) system.
  • Assist in management of resources and delegate staff assignments.
  • Assist the supervisor in complex account reconciliation.
  • Assist departments in locating misapplied payments and make appropriate corrections to rectify payment issues.
  • Analyze payment-processing errors. Refine and implement preventive measures to ensure smooth operation of payment processing.
  • Make recommendations to supervisor on upcoming projects and existing procedures to improve and streamline operations.
  • Review and audit completed work of Cashier/Bookkeepers and Sr. Processing Clerks for quality control.
  • This position requires a high level of analytical skills to resolve daily operation problems for subordinates.
  • Independent thinking and decision-making skills to ensure smooth operation of the section.
  • In depth understanding of cashiering and funds concentration and allocation systems is required to make quality recommendations on how to improve workflow.
Qualifications
  • Cashiering, bookkeeping or relevant work experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook are required.
  • Advanced account reconciliation skills required.
