Primary Care Nurse Practitioner opening in Columbus, IN 46 miles from Indianapolis, INThe nations leading nonprofit behavioral health system is seeking a full time Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. JOB DESCRIPTION:- Provide psychiatric services consistent with established guidelines for best practice interventions for adults, children, and adolescents.- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management.- Collaborate with treatment team members for medical supervision, utilizing advanced- knowledge of psychopathology and psychopharmacology to assist clinical team members in diagnosis, case formulation, and choice of treatment interventions.- Maintain effective, collaborative relationship with Psychiatrists.- Follow best practice prescribing protocols as identified in research and from organizational processes.- Maintain an effective professional relationship with clinical support/nursing to efficiently and successfully support patients during and in between appointments.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:- Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.- Master's Degree in Nursing required. (Clinical Nurse Specialist or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner)- One to three years of experience in Psychiatric Nursing environment or mental health care environment is preferred. - Must be licensed.
