We are pleased to announce the opening for a Missile Defense Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Software Engineer, who will join our Engineering Services Division in Huntsville, Alabama and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. You will be part of a team that supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) GMD Digital Acquisition and Infrastructure team's software factory creating a DEVSECOPS Environment within the Integrated Digital Data Environment (IDDE) and will also serve as a system administrator for the IDDE assisting in tool deployment, infrastructure configuration management, and account management. Responsibilities: Youll be: Participating stakeholder working groups and boards to advocate for DEVSECOPS products. Collaborating with development and operations teams to streamline deployment and management of infrastructure. Working within a DEVSECOPS team, collaborating with other Developers, Security, and Operations, to continuously deliver products. Documenting software development and infrastructure processes, including design specifications and test plans. Embracing and championing Agile development processes and DEVSECOPS workflows and practices while providing technical guidance to team members and coworkers on best practices. Performing security control continuous monitoring, security audits, risk analysis and developing mitigation strategies for DoD information systems. Ensuring software, hardware, and firmware complies with appropriate security configuration guidelines (e.g., security technical implementation guides /security requirement guides). Evaluating Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables and prepare responses to Task Management Tracker (TMT) action items. Traveling as required (estimated 10%). Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree and 7+ years related experience in DoD. You must possess or can obtain an Active SECRET clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Familiar with DeSecOps technologies, concepts, agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with at least one of these applications: Windows Active Directory, Windows Server administration GPOs, SCCM, Microsoft Azure, and AWS. Familiarity with GitLab for code repo, pipelines, and/or backlog management experience using Fortify, SonarQube to ensure code quality and security. Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) evaluation and implementation experience. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to work effectively within a collaborative environment composed of Government, Prime Contractor, Support Contractor, and other Government agencies/personnel. Candidate must be confident in his/her ability to work across a vast organizational structure to effectively communicate complex technical issues. Direct experience in digital engineering. Experience in MDA. STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guides) experience. Experience with AGILE.
