Humanim's Behavioral Health Department, Residential Rehabilitation Program, is looking to fill Rehabilitation Counselor positions currently available. Rehabilitation Counselors provide individualized teaching, training, and support to young adults and adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses to help them increase their independence in the community. Counselors work with clients in their home and throughout the community to provide life skills training and services.

This is an entry level position which provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the behavioral health field with opportunities for growth within the organization.

Qualified candidates should be energetic, patient, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as exhibit highly developed organizational and time management skills. In addition, creativity, reliability and basic computer skills are a plus

Requirements
  • Must be able to work 9 shifts per quarter year (including weekend shifts)
  • Must be able to work one holiday
  • High School Diploma/GED equivalence
  • Bachelor's Degree in psychology/related field preferred
  • 2 years mental health experience
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle available for work/during the duration of the shift
  • At-least 2 years of driving experience required
  • Open-minded and willingness to meet individuals where they are
  • Understand person-centeredness and how to put it into daily practice
