The Role
We’re looking for a highly organized and customer-focused individual to work as a Client Service Associate in our Client Services Department. Reporting to the Director, Client Services you will be responsible for supporting the mission of the Client Services’ department in providing exemplary client service to our members and maintaining a high rate of member retention.
Key Result Areas
- Manage and retain the existing book of business while assisting with stewardship strategies and objectives for the Insurance Solutions Division
- Oversee the renewal process, including working directly with underwriters related to administrative tasks and supporting customers with policy changes.
- Coordinate insurance renewal processes which includes running reports, reviewing reports for accuracy, and assembling renewal presentations.
- Contact practice administrators and physicians regarding policy renewals to discuss premiums, coverage components, policy enhancements, member benefits, and additional product offerings
- Work in coordination with underwriting to collect application information from prospective customers, and follow-up as necessary to ensure completion
- Assist with special projects as assigned by team members
- Assist in organizing and managing various corporate meetings relating to Member Services strategic initiatives
- Maintain Member Services’ databases (SalesForce, Onbase, OASIS, PHS, and Business Objects) to ensure renewal processes and client correspondence are properly documented. Data inputting and management may be required for various quoting systems or activities related to cross-selling initiatives
- Assist with day-to-day phone calls and emails while answering questions and educating customers
- Run monthly renewal lists
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external audiences
- Excellent customer service attitude with ability to take ownership and drive issues to resolution
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and display a professional demeanor even during stressful situations
- Self-directed and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to function as part of a team
- Ability to preserve confidentiality
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus 3 to 5 years of related experience required
- Minimum customer service experience of 3 to 5 years required
- P&C Agent license required or obtained within 6 months of employment
- College degree preferred but not required
- Experience working in a customer service role with a property and casualty insurance company preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
