Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with facilities and support services to improve outcomes.
  • Provides monthly projections of daily rates to appropriate departments.
  • Provides feedback and further analysis of any high-risk facilities.
  • Manages the Reimbursement Analyst program to ensure facility and department relationships are cohesive.
  • Provides and assigns education and auditing as needed to improve outcomes.
  • Provides information regarding trends, education needs, problem areas to appropriate departments as needed.
  • Analyze 5-str reports and identify high risk facilities for further analysis.
  • Analyze VBP/QRP reports and identify high risk facilities for further analysis
  • Ensures compliance with clinically based reimbursement procedures.
  • Ensure compliance throughout the organization with the guidelines for the Minimum Data Set (MDS), Quality Measures, Medicare reimbursement program, Medicaid Case Mix, and Medicare’s skilled level of care criteria including the supportive documentation requirements.
  • Facilitates education on RAI process, MDS Coding, PDPM, QRP, VBP and 5-star quality measures.
  • Monitors facility schedules to assure the completion and timely submission of MDS data according to Federal and State reimbursement requirements.
  • Tracks, trends, and analyzes QMs for all SNFs to identify vulnerabilities and plan of action.
Other Functions:
  • Assist with preparation of materials utilized by the client organization as needed.
  • Attend company meetings, event and planning sessions as needed; and
  • Assist with other activities as directed by the CNO.
Minimum Requirements
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon or Washington.
  • Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience with RAI process; 3 years’ experience in Long Term Care and Skilled Nursing facility setting.
  • Proficient in the RAI process, PDPM, QRP, VBP and 5-star rating
  • Prior demonstrable experience developing, implementing and monitoring systems to ensure Organization compliance with federal/state requirements, RAI process.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to share compelling narratives and encourage creativity.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records and computer documentation systems.
  • Ability to learn, respect and respond to the different needs and challenges of the different business units.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CMAC certification.
  • Five (5) years PCC or other equivalent EMR experience
