ProPartners Financial is a part of the Farm Credit System and is the System’s Center of Excellence for input financing programs for Agribusinesses. The Farm Credit System provides loans, leases, and related services to farmers, ranchers, rural homeowners, aquatic producers, timber harvesters, agribusinesses, and agricultural and rural utility cooperatives. Please note that the recruiting and hiring process is coordinated by the human resources department at Compeer Financial, one of our owners.

The PPF Board of Directors has engaged Modern Executive Solutions for professional assistance in the recruitment process for this position.

This position is responsible for the overall management, control and administration of all operations and vendor relationships needed to operate ProPartners Financial. Through the establishment and development of an effective leadership team, the President ensures that ProPartners programs promote custom designed financial services to agribusinesses for their customers nationwide. The incumbent identifies future market opportunities and leverages these opportunities, as appropriate. The incumbent establishes and maintains an effective communication process to keep the Governance Board, Associations, AgriBank and Farm Credit Administration informed and engaged.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains and develops an expanding client base and favorable community image.
  • Directly involved with business development strategies on the leading agribusiness in the market.
  • Develops, recommends and implements policies, procedures, processes, and programs for originating, marketing, underwriting, pricing, closing, servicing and monitoring the programs of the unit.
  • Develops, directs, and implements appropriate business plans and strategies for the organization which support the accomplishment of expectations established by the Governance Board.
  • Oversees the development and maintains company credit policies, procedures and risk standards to ensure delivery of sound credit.
  • Responsible for the ongoing selection, leadership, motivation, engagement, mentorship, and review of the senior leadership team.
  • Maintains appropriate financial standards by operating within sound fiscal and budgetary contraints, as approved by the Governance Board.
Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, agriculture or related field; or equivalent experience. Advanced degree or MBA is preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive agricultural financial services experience (with crop input experience preferred).
  • Ten or more years of leadership and management experience.
  • Experience dealing with senior corporate levels of large national and international scope agribusiness enterprises in the manufacturing, distribution and retailing of crop inputs.
  • Significant experience developing and executing complex financial marketing plans and strategies to support vendor/dealer networks.
  • Knowledge of capital markets, corporate finance and supply financing is essential.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication, conflict resolution, collaborative, and consultative management skills as well as demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Highly developed negotiating and influencing skills as well as superior presentation, facilitation and analytical skills.
  • Leadership skills to select, evaluate, engage, motivate, mentor, train, delegate, reward and lead team members.
