POSITION TITLE: BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN/EMPLOYMENT COACH (HYBRID) II

DEPARTMENT: BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

REPORTS TO: BEHAVIORAL HEALTH MANAGER

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Employment Coach / Behavioral Health Technician (Hybrid) combines the responsibilities of supporting clients in both employment-related activities and providing behavioral health services. This role involves ensuring compliance with third-party stakeholders through documentation aligned with client treatment plans, providing job coaching, and offering employment support to clients.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Must be capable of performing all functions of BHT I/Employment Coach I and supports BHT I/Employment Coach I onboarding.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of all stakeholder contracts with behavioral health and housing and associated reports.
    • Independently completes client treatment plan/assessments and submits for approval by a licensed professional.
    • Timely submission of DAP notes.
      Standard: no more than 48-hour turnaround time for client notes.
  • Provides supported housing program assistance to clients.
    • Participates in weekly On-Call list for emergency maintenance calls or behavioral health calls.
      Standard: all maintenance issues are reported through the maintenance request system.
  • Attends and participates in scheduled clinical supervision meetings and completes all agency mandatory training.
    Standard: 100% compliance with all mandatory trainings.
  • Complete annual recertifications for clients' receiving supportive services and ADOH contract recipients.Standard: 100% completion of recertification's by the due date
  • Capable of performing pertinent housing functions and respective reporting.
  • Attends and participates in Adult Recovery Team meetings and client chart reviews for clients, when required.Standard: Participates in 100% of the annual reviews.
  • Monitors and tracks client progress towards goals and objectives in daily notes, Monthly Summary Forms, Adult Recovery Team Meetings, Treatment Plans and Assessments.Standard: Documents client progress on objective, goals, communication, and behavioral daily.
    • Maintains ongoing communication with Team Lead, Manager, and other staff regarding the development of client's goals and objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.


WORK ENVIRONMENT
  1. Supervision
    This position has no supervisory responsibility.
  2. Confidentiality
    This position is exposed to highly confidential client information including behavioral health and physical health diagnosis and disability information, demographic information and client financial status.
  3. Mental Application and Responsibility
    Ability to prioritize and organize workload, handle numerous tasks simultaneously, and work under pressure. Must interact with discretion and professionalism regarding confidential client information.
  4. Internal and Public Contacts
    High degree of interaction with staff, clients, family members, and other social service agency staff in the community.
  5. Conditions and Equipment
    The work environment includes client home visits, clinical, office settings, and community settings for behavioral health and job coaching activities. Must remain awake and alert throughout each work shift.
  6. Physical Demands
    The work environment includes home and office settings. Must be able to walk up and down stairs and lift up to 25 pounds. Complete training for safety and crisis intervention.
ABILITIES
  1. Language (Communication)
    Must communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing; possess excellent organizational and time management skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  2. Mathematical
    Basic mathematics is required.
  3. Reasoning
    Position requires basic understanding of working with people who have unique disabilities, basic understanding of crisis prevention and intervention and to assist in a recovery model or plan. Basic understanding of First Aid and CPR.
  4. Other
    Basic understanding of Arizona State Housing Rules, Fair Housing and Landlord Tenant Act Laws, HUD eligibility guidelines, and Housing Contracts. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and comply with Fair Housing laws.
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Education
    Bachelor's Degree Preferred Or
    High school diploma or equivalent required with
    (2) years of case management experience in lieu of education.
  2. Experience
    Requires a minimum of 6 months to two years of case management experience. Or
    At least one (1) year experience working with individuals with disabilities or in social services preferred
  3. Other
    Must be over 21 years of age.
    Must possess a valid driver's license.
    Must obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
    Must obtain valid certifications for Agency compliance within 90 days of employment.
    Pass background check inclusive of Excluded Provider List System (EPLS) and the Health and Human Services (HHS) List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).


DRUG-FREE WORK ENVIRONMENT

OSHA

Everyone has the right to a safe workplace. The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 was passed to prevent workers from being seriously harmed at work or killed at work, and the law requires employers to provide their employees with working conditions that are free of known dangers.
