In This Role, You Will:
  • Float between NYH locations as needed.
  • Follow all NYH policies and procedures.
  • Update and maintain electronic patient records; assist in transitioning records to digital format.
  • Record patient information such as vital signs and changes in medical history.
  • Prepare examination rooms for patient appointments.
  • Assist in maintaining medical inventory and ordering new materials as needed.
  • Provide patient education on medications and disease management.
  • Assist physician during examinations and perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and lab tests.
We Require:
  • Current NYS LPN license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience in a lead role or potential to act in a lead capacity.
  • Proficiency in OncoEMR (preferred)
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending and reaching.
  • Frequent exposure to chemicals, bloodborne pathogens, and patient bodily fluids.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Willingness to travel to NYH locations.
