Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

Bond Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant will work directly under the supervision of the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and perform duties related to the personal needs of the resident, care of supplies and equipment, and maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and safety of the resident in their environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides or assists with bed bath, tub bath, whirlpool, and showers, ensuring the safety of the resident.
  • Provides personal grooming, including hair, nails, shaving, personal clothing, mouth care, and perineal care.
  • Prepares laundry for pick-up and return.
  • Checks the resident's body for skin care, including rash, discoloration, or edema.
  • Assists with feeding and provides a calm, pleasant environment.
  • Monitors daily intake and keeps nurses informed.
  • Records food intake on the Nutrition Work Sheet.
  • Makes beds and uses recommended amounts of linen and diapers.
  • Disposes of linen properly and utilizes clean and dirty linen carts.
  • Secures call bells to beds and ensures beds are made properly.
  • Is knowledgeable in linen precaution procedures.
Rehabilitation:
  • Assists in ambulation, transfers, ROM exercises, and good body alignment as indicated.
  • Uses adaptive devices properly and cooperates with all rehab disciplines.
  • Keeps accountability sheets up to date with signatures as required.
Testing of Urine and Collecting of Specimens:
  • Has knowledge of proper procedure and records results.
  • Informs the nurse of results.
Assignments:
  • Receives daily reports from nurses and consults assignments for special duties.
  • Ensures residents' physical needs are met and documents accordingly.
  • Routinely checks and keeps in order residents' belongings.
  • Ensures residents on turning and toileting schedules are positioned and assisted as needed.
  • Resident is kept clean and dry.
  • Gives assistance to co-workers when needed and uses good handwashing techniques.
Cooperation:
  • Works well with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Maintains appropriate relationships with residents, families, and peers.
  • Gives assistance to other departments when necessary.
  • Communicates well with other staff members.

Requirements:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
