Description of position:
West Physics has an immediate need for a Nuclear Medicine/Health Physics professional based in St. Louis, MO. This position requires a solid educational background in nuclear medicine/health physics, a strong interest and aptitude for learning, and a can-do attitude with an excellent work ethic. The selected candidate will provide Gamma Camera, PET, Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine audit services to clients in the state of Missouri.
This position will be best suited for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently. The ability to exercise a high degree of responsibility and autonomy (once trained) is integral to this position

Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control testing on diagnostic imaging equipment (Gamma Camera, PET, Radiography, fluoroscopy, etc.)
- Perform Nuclear Medicine Audits
- Perform Radiation Protection and Shielding Integrity Surveys
- Assist Senior technical staff with state regulation updates
- Provide aid & support to Senior technical staff as needed
Prerequisites:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Nuclear Medicine Technology,Medical Physics, Health Physics, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, applied science, or a closely related field
- At least 1 year of Nuclear Medicine or Health Physics work experience in either a clinical, hospital, university, or industrial health physics setting. 3+ years of experience is preferred
- Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification is not required but preferred
- Solid foundation in radiation physics, radiation biology, electronics, and other areas relevant to equipment quality assurance testing. Preferred not required
- Candidate must be willing and open to be trained on new opportunities and activities to enhance their technical skill set
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- The ability to troubleshoot problems, brainstorm options, and come to logical conclusions that best serve the West Physics mission and its customers.
This position reports directly to the St. Louis, MO Field Office Director.
