Job Summary:
The Senior Application Analyst supports multiple healthcare applications including day-to-day operational issues, break/fix, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and on-call rotations independently. For immediate consideration, your experience should include a minimum of 3 years' experience in supporting / implementing PowerScribe 360, and Epic certification or proficiency in Epic Radiant, Ambulatory or Orders modules is preferred. This is a full-time position with Vanderbilt University Medical Center and offers challenge, career growth, and the opportunity to join a highly collaborative team dedicated to excellence in healthcare.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Configure, manage, and support applications within the Radiology Information Systems (RIS) product portfolio with a specific focus on PowerScribe 360.
  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure, enterprise imaging, desktop support, vendors, and other application teams to troubleshoot integration issues and plan for application patches and upgrades.
  • Lead meetings with clinicians, operations, vendors, and IT teams.
  • Participate in 24x7 on call rotation including weekends and holidays.
  • Scope, plan, and execute projects related to product enhancements, upgrades, and expansions.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • 3 years' experience supporting / implementing PowerScribe 360
  • Epic certification or proficiency (Radiant, Ambulatory or Orders modules preferred)
  • Working knowledge of imaging workflows with RIS, Voice Recognition Dictation, and PACS applications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and identify mapping requirements for HL7 interfaces.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clinicians, managers, customers, and co-workers.
  • Project management experience implementing a new application or upgrading an existing application.
  • Basic knowledge of server operating systems, virtual environments, networks, and NAT (network address translation) technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of database structures and can create database queries (e.g., SQL)

• Product Knowledge (Intermediate): Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully developing or supporting applications for the product without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to educate and train others regarding the process.
• Testing (Intermediate): Possesses a high level of skill to develop new and execute pre-designed program test data, load testing, and ensures validity of data passed among programs. Able to use automated testing aids to help debug programs. Creates and maintains appropriate test documentation for regulatory requirements.
• Technical Analysis (Intermediate): Possesses high level of knowledge of the functionality of assigned products and the systems with which they interface. Proactively identifies, analyzes, and develops solutions to complex clinical, administrative, financial, operational, and technical issues. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable to successfully design build, configure, install, run reports, and perform maintenance support with minimal instruction or guidance from others. Participates in optimization efforts. May lead projects and delegate tasks.
• Configuration Management and Planning (Intermediate): Demonstrates a conceptual and business understanding of configuration management, planning and related topics.
