Behavioral Health Associates (BHA) is an educational organization. We offer an academic learning environment integrated with behavior support services for students diagnosed with emotional/behavioral disorders to empower the students in overcoming challenges and creating new stories in their lives.

We currently have an opening for a full-time Clinical Director.

JOB GOAL

The Clinical Director provides leadership to the Mahoning Valley Academy IBHS program, assures that all clinical services are delivered in accordance with the highest quality and standards, is responsible for the supervision of IBHS team members, and ensuring all documentation remains compliant will all state standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide 1 hour of monthly supervision for each BCBA in IBHS.
  • Create individualized training plans for all IBHS staff to complete throughout the course of the year utilizing Relias software.
  • Work with Autistic Educational Support staff to create a plan to complete the RBT training.
  • Generate a schedule for classroom BCBAs to complete the competencies for potential RBTs.
  • Provide monthly reports to direct supervisor to include number of supervision hours for BCBA.
  • Complete and document a quarterly clinical record review for IBHS services according to all state law and insurance mandates.
  • Review and approve all documentation submitted by IBHS staff for billing and insurance purposes.
  • Monitor and approve all staff training logs in order to ensure compliance with state mandates.
  • Provide oversight/supervision for all current and upcoming BCBAs.
  • Provide oversight for the training and certification for all the organization's RBTs.
  • Provide day-to-day clinical oversight for all IBHS services provided through MVA, including the family services department.
  • Create an annual training schedule in order to meet requirements for certification for both BCBAs and RBTs.
  • Work collaboratively with administrative team and IBHS coordinator to ensure all deadlines, both for insurance and for state licensure, are being met.
  • Work closely with administrative teams on staff records, hiring, billing, and compliance.
  • Provide ongoing ABA staff training for individual programs as per director's or leadership direction.
  • Attend meetings as required by MCOs (CBH/Magellan), and provide clinical feedback and oversight as required for Crisis consults, Intensive Care Coordination reviews, high risk needs, etc.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop opportunities to expand programming and training opportunities for organizations outside the BHA organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's Degree with BCBA Certification, Required.
  • PA Behavior Specialist License, Required.
  • Current BCBA Certification, Required.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience providing ABA services in a public school or school equivalent setting.
  • Knowledge of ibhs Licensing and BCBA certification.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff and leadership team, while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Positively represent and promote BHA services to outside organizations.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters, including the dissemination of information regarding program development, staffing, and billing.
  • Assess staff training needs and successfully implement trainings.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to support all organizational objectives.
  • Ability to supervise all assigned staff.
  • Work both independently and as a team.
  • Communicate effectively utilizing both written and oral communication.
  • Basic computer literacy with Microsoft/Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Effectively utilize technology for communication and reporting needs.
