Overview

Responsible for assisting in various clerical and administrative duties, including the administration of the company's benefit programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the backup for the Benefits functions.
• Assist in the recruiting and onboarding process, including assessments and overseeing iCIMS.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee information.
• Organize, maintain, and file electronic Employee Personnel Records.
• Facilitate a positive atmosphere for good employee relations.
• Prepare reports, memos, letters, and other documents, including organization charts.
• Prepare presentations and organize materials for meetings (PPT).
• Manage calendars, schedules, and coordinate meetings.
• Prepare and review correspondence.
• Plan and organize large meetings and events such as Holiday and Picnic parties.
• Provide general administrative support.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential material with professionalism, discretion, and strict confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-directed with attention to details and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational, problem solving, and time management skills.
• Flexibility to work extra hours and weekends, as needed.
• May NOT be related to another Employee of Steel Dynamics. The definition of relative in this requirement is any person who is related by blood or marriage, or whose relationship with the employee is similar.
• Experience working with UKG Software preferred.
• 2+ years of Benefit experience is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as an assistant.
