The Director of Sales, Marketing and Client Management will be responsible for developing and managing all sales channels (outside sales, inside sales, national accounts, and 3rd party sales), relationship management and marketing for US Premium Finance. This position will be a member of the leadership team and collaborate in setting and executing strategy for sales and the division. The Director of Sales, Marketing and Client Management will also be responsible for managing existing relationships, with the specific goal of solidifying and growing profitable relationships. This position will have the responsibility for the developing and executing the growth strategy of the division. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
· Serve as a true thought partner, along with members of senior leadership.
· Set and manage strategies to optimize resources, enhance market presence, and drive high performance.
· Manage marketing strategy for the division.
· Create and develop programs for national sales and ensure its implementation.
· Aligning with the division’s strategy, develop metrics for each sales channel, and ensure the successful achievement of the company’s sales goals across all its territories.
· Maintain sales management and reporting tools to achieve business objectives.
· Develop effective sales strategy and ensure its timely implementation.
· Travel throughout the country to assess performance, resolve problems, communicate directives, and drive engagement.
· Formulate and implement policies, sales management procedures and processes for all sales channels and client management teams.
· Manage large client relationships, and work with sales managers and account executives.
· Keep current with demand and supply of company’s services, changing trends and its competitors.
· Develop creative sales technique and tactics to meet business goals.
· Develop sales presentations and RFP’s for clients.
· Recruit and train sales employees for effective delivery.
· Participate in market strategy building by providing useful information from sales activities.
· Manage budgets, reviews and approves expenditures.
· Maintain working knowledge of bank policies and procedures.
· Practices ethical sales behaviors in accordance with Ameris’ core values of Integrity and Honesty; always acts in the best interest of the customer when offering additional products and services.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
· Able to develop and implement overall strategy, contributing to the culture and financial success of the company with specific expertise in strategic growth planning and execution, sales strategy and client relationship strategy.
· Able to effectively and persuasively express self, using language and grammar in a professional manner.
· Able to plan, schedule and organize a professional schedule to achieve strategic goals within or ahead of established time frames.
· Ability to negotiate, drive consensus, manage and resolve conflict.
· Advanced ability to research, analyze, identify viable options, draw sound conclusions, present findings and make thoughtful recommendations considering overall risk and short-term and long-term impact.
· Highly motivated to exceed established targets. Ability to analyze markets, identify prospects, develop and execute sales techniques and strategies.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Industry and Work Experience:
· 5+ years’ leading growth strategy and marketing efforts of an organization.
· 10+ years of experience in sales management.
· 5+ years of experience in premium finance preferred.
· 10+ years of experience directing relationship management teams.
Academic:
· Bachelor’s degree in finance or a similar field, or minimum of 15 years of direct experience in sales and marketing, including growth strategy.
