Technical Sales Manager

Slip Robotics is a venture-backed, supply chain robotics startup that provides robots-as-a-service for automated truck loading/unloading in under 5 minutes. 23% of a truck driver's workday is typically wasted idling and waiting for their truck to be loaded/unloaded at a dock, while forklift drivers face constant pressure to quickly load/unload freight despite the high risks of damage and injury. SlipBots auto-load/unload all types of trucks in less than 5 minutes to increase safety, speed, and savings across the supply chain. Slip is headquartered in Atlanta, GA and serves multiple Fortune 500 customers in 24/7 production manufacturing and logistics operations throughout North America. Job Description:
Slip Robotics is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager to join our team and drive our sales efforts. As a Technical Sales Manager at Slip Robotics, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing sales strategies to promote and sell our autonomous mobile robots. Your primary focus will be on driving revenue growth, expanding our customer base, and exceeding sales targets. You will work closely with prospects and customers in the manufacturing, transportation, and logistics sectors, leveraging your expertise in selling and deploying mobile robotics and other advanced technologies. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and revenue objectives, and exceed sales targets and quotas
- Identify, target, and close key customers in the transportation, manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics sectors
- Drive the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure
- Build and nurture strong relationships with prospects, customers, and industry stakeholders
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent Slip Robotics and network with potential customers
- Collaborate with the product and applications engineering teams to provide customer feedback, support product enhancements, and enhance solution offerings for specific industry and customer types
- 5+ years of experience selling mobile robots and/or advanced technologies to customers in the manufacturing, transportation, warehousing, and/or logistics sectors
- Strong understanding of manufacturing material flow design and/or transportation operations is a big plus
- Excellent communication and consultation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts effectively and guide prospects to adopting new technologies and change management processes
- Excited to help build the sales function at a fast-growing startup
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment
- Strong bias for action: Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to achieve results
- Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar CRM systems
- Willingness to travel ~50% of the time to meet with customers and prospects
