Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Specialist will provide support and assistance for all marketing activities.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Create internal and external content within the parameters of Prospera's extensive Brand Standards Guide. This could include videos, graphics, and copy specific to products, services, promotions, trainings, etc., directed by Director and in support of credit union goals. 30%
  • Assist with social media strategies that align with Prospera's culture, brand vision and promise, as well as credit union goals, and implement as directed. Manage day-to-day operations and monitoring of credit union's social media communities. Serve as content creator for social media channels. 20%
  • Fulfill branch requests for monthly in-branch material, member incentive payments, etc. in accordance with promos directed by supervisor and in support of credit union goals. Maintain digital message systems. Coordinate monthly statement messages to be sent to outside vendor. 20%
  • Assist in communication of all marketing information to staff via Prospera's intranet, including newsletter (or intranet blogs) 10%
  • Coordinate select credit union events. 10%
  • Responsible for assisting the Director in various duties of the department as requested. 10%

Performance Measurements:

  • Provide timely, accurate, professional marketing support.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all information as directed in credit union procedures, including those for website and social media, specifically.
  • Meet required time deadlines.
  • Provide informed, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates.
  • Maintain a professional work environment and appearance.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least two years of similar or related marketing experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of marketing, advertising, and promotions. Banking and credit union specific knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Social Media management and content creation.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required.
  • Strong knowledge of internet applications and skills necessary to update and maintain website, and monitor/utilize social media is required. Experience working with Wordpress is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including correct use of grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure.
  • Ability to speak to groups of people from varying backgrounds to share department information, campaign successes and to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Copy writing experience is a plus.
  • Video production / video editing experience a plus.
  • Strong graphic design skills. Canva and Adobe Creative suite a plus.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and project management skills as well as multi-tasking skills
  • Must be detail-oriented, with an ability to work independently, under pressure, and within moving deadlines.
  • Ability to blend technical and creative skills from a business point of view to provide seamless support of department initiatives.
  • Ability to work in a changeable environment with a team-based philosophy is expected.
