Job Description

OurSleep Center in Niskayunais looking for a Lead Sleep Technologist to join their team. The Sleep Technologistwill report to practice manger and have oversight of scheduling sleep studies, perform daytime nap studies, set up home studies and score home studies and score overnight PSG studies. This is a 4 daywork week, 32 hours.

  • Manage and perform all types of sleep diagnostic recordings according to company policies and the standards of the AASM including, but not limited to scoring.
  • Maintain staff schedules of sleep technologists.
  • Perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis.
  • Follow all testing preparation procedures including, but not limited to, preparing and calibrating equipment, apply electrodes and sensors, and perform routine positive airway pressure (PAP mask fitting).
  • Follow all polysomnographic procedural protocols.
  • Routinely (at the beginning and the end of each recording) perform polygraph calibration and make adjustments as needed.
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Assist with all polysomnographic record scoring.
  • Perform DME-CPAP equipment set-ups and instruct patients on CPAP set-up, use, and maintenance.
  • Perform routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluation.
  • Additional Duties may be assigned as business needs require.

Hourly salary range: $24.00-$34.00

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a polysomnography program of at least one year duration associated with a state-licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility or Authorization Certificate for Polysomnographic Technologists from the State of New York.
  • RPSGT is required.
  • Certified basic CPR/BCLS.
  • Certifications must be kept up to date.
  • Active BLS certification.
