Position Summary

This individual will be primarily responsible for point of care duties with a focus on performing EEG exams. According to established policies and procedures, performs patient care activities in order to assist health care providers in performing various technical and clerical procedures in the patient care area.

Responsibilities

  • Perform EEG exams using standard head measurement, calibration techniques and notations for routine and special recordings.
  • Complete a health history on patients
  • Evaluate tracings on technical quality and recording of electrical interference.
  • Coordinate interpretations of exams with Neurologists
  • Assist and support patient during exam
  • Assist with any general POCT duties in the department while providing EEG coverage
  • Collaborate inpatient orders with front desk and modalities to identify patient arrival times
  • Maintain supplies
  • Arrange patient appointments
Requirements
  • Read, write, and follow verbal or written instructions.
  • Maintain CPR certification.
  • Work independently and professionally
  • Experience in performing EEG exams preferred
