We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing standard and complex polysomnographic recordings and monitoring physiological phenomena throughout such procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer oxygen and nasal continuous positive airway pressure and employ ventilatory assist devices by established protocols.
- Perform special procedures such as multiple sleep latency testing.
- Assess and interpret patient status in order to identify and provide appropriate care based on the assessment and specific needs identified.
- Correctly document all therapy given according to Department policy.
- Provide a compassionate and supportive environment with prompt and consistent service.
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification.
- Additional experience as an EEG Technician or Certified Respiratory Therapist.
- BLS Certification required.
- One to three years previous experience in hospital-based or freestanding Sleep Center.
- Scoring experience required. Knowledge of AASM Standards.
