Polysomnographic Technologist

At RWJBarnabas Health, we are seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing standard and complex polysomnographic recordings and monitoring physiological phenomena throughout such procedures.

• Administer oxygen and nasal continuous positive airway pressure and employ ventilatory assist devices by established protocols.
• Perform special procedures such as multiple sleep latency testing.
• Assess and interpret patient status in order to identify and provide appropriate care based on the assessment and specific needs identified.
• Correctly document all therapy given according to Department policy.
• Correctly complete all patient records and documentation including patient assessment and patient education.

• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification.
• Additional experience as an EEG Technician or Certified Respiratory Therapist.
• BLS Certification required.
• One to three years previous experience in hospital-based or freestanding Sleep Center.
• Scoring experience required. Knowledge of AASM Standards.
