This role blends program and project management and delivery, coaching and development of team members, and financial and business acumen. The Sr. Project Manager will oversee, on an annual basis, a combination of one or more programs with multiple project tracks, and multiple medium to large-scale digital projects across web and mobile applications. Programs may also include tracks outside of software delivery. The Sr. Project Manager ensures on-time and on-schedule delivery working closely with Product, Technology, and Design.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Communicate clearly/concisely with senior leadership.
  • Builds and delivers against plans across a single capability.
  • Proficiently manages work execution through project dependencies, risks, schedules, budgets.
  • Creates, evolves & communicates capability requirements/specifications that align with the scope and enable engineering.
  • Applies technical, functional, and customer expertise to deliver requirements/specifications that are accurate, precise, technically sound, and implementable.
  • Facilitates team progress in driving solutions and making effective business decisions.
  • Supports the creation of feature demos for stakeholders/business partners.
  • Identifies issues/changes and proposes solutions to leadership.
  • Owns budget and resource planning.
  • Learning technology (e.g. Cloud, APIs, services, Windows stack, opensource, database technologies, etc.)
  • Demonstrates awareness of the capability and its platform dependencies.
  • Applies project lifecycle knowledge to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Determines if basic requirements are being met.
  • Understands estimates of effort to complete engineering workstreams.
  • Communicates clearly and concisely, in written and oral formats about decisions, plans, and tasks.
  • Minimizes use of jargon to ensure understanding by specific audiences.
  • Listens effectively and asks questions to identify needs and share information.
  • Actively seeks, absorbs, and takes action on feedback.
  • Leverages communication standards to distribute information to the appropriate audience.
  • Contributes constructively in team meetings and cross-discipline collaborations.
  • Knows when s/he doesn't have the right information and resolves by asking for assistance.
  • Maintain, manage, and report on the project log workbook to Leadership (i.e.; communications plan, change requests, action items, decisions log, lessons learned, etc.)
  • Analyze, validate, and assess the change requirements.
  • Gain the required approval as an additional budget is required for implementing the changes.
  • Communicate the change request status to the stakeholders regularly.

  • BA degree or equivalent.

  • Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
