About the Role: We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist in Iowa to join our Coralville, IA location. This position is ideal for someone who is outgoing, assertive, customer-focused, detail-oriented, and skilled in multitasking.
Responsibilities:
- Verify orders entered by technician staff and ensure accuracy
- Verify content and accuracy of drug packaging and labeling
- Monitor workflow processes, including pharmacist verification, labeling/packaging, and quality assurance and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain medication packaging standards, quality assurance, and security of controlled substance.
- Prepare or supervise sterile IV drug products as needed
- Assist in maintaining inventory for schedule II drugs
- Adhere to DEA and state laws regarding controlled substances
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Maintain pharmacy security and adhere to delivery schedules
- Assist with maintaining the Pharmacy department by keeping it clean and following infection control guidelines.
- Follow HIPAA and other relevant regulations
- Manage and supervise employees within the building alongside the Pharmacist in Charge
- Utilize various types of packaging and automation systems
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Iowa (must be in good standing).
- Experience with long-term care (LTC) and/or Framework LTC software preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations, including DEA requirements.
- Experience with cycle dispensing and compounding preferred.
- Outgoing, assertive, and excellent at multitasking.
- Detail-oriented with strong management and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality
