Will lead one or more HR Business Partners Partner and provide support for all HR related functions/strategies/initiatives,including but not limited to, forecasting, workforce planning, employee engagement/culture initiatives, leadership and organizational training and development, HR/State and Federal employee practices, rewards & recognition strategies, diversity and inclusion initiatives, employee relations, talent review/succession planning, performance management, compensation initiatives, communication strategies, disciplinary counsel and application of UA policies and procedures Collaborate with HR Leadership and Business Partners to implement HR and business strategies/objectives for the region /division. Ensure stakeholder involvement/partnering as required between client management, legal, LR and TA as needed for employment/CBA application and compliance issues, employee issues and investigations. Responsible to establish and maintain strong business partnerships with division leadership and employees at all levels of the organization. Responsible for the routine HR functions for assigned locations. Leverage divisional data to assist and inform in key decision making. Build and maintain positive working relationships with multiple union leaders, to establish a trust level necessary to resolve outstanding disputes. Responsible for supporting management, administrative and union represented workgroups with emphasis in all areas of Employee Relations including but not limited to, discipline review meetings, mediations, settlement agreements, conflict resolution, drug & alcohol policy issues and restructures/reorganizations. Support direct reports and employees through directing/referring as needed on personal and policy matters. Interaction and coordination with the various HR colleagues, i.e. Total Rewards, Labor Relations, Employee Service Center, Medical to assist business leaders and employees. May assist in other areas of HR as needed. Provide necessary support and training to regional management regarding the application and execution of corporate guidelines, policies, and administrative activities. Manage, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of Human Resources procedures in compliance with Federal, State and Local employment and related HR laws such as: FLMA, ADA, & EE), including networking with the various related Counsels in the Law Department and the Employment Compliance group regarding regional employment compliance issues. What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): 7+ years of HR Generalist experience, with emphasis on business partnerships, employee advocacy, change activities, HR administration & labor activities – or equivalent work experience 2 years of project/program management experience 2 years management/leadership experience Very strong employee relations experience Generalist background with broad knowledge of Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Training, Conflict Resolution, and Investigation’s experience Solid knowledge of FMLA, EEO laws, ADA and other employment related State and Federal laws & regulations Understanding of Discretion and Confidentiality Ability to work under pressure and deal with multiple complex issues. Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly analyze and prioritize a situation, make rational decisions using good reasoning and sound judgment. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships develop and deliver fair and equitable solutions. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Professional demeanor, yet approachable, with excellent and timely follow-up with business partners. Must be self-motivated and have an enhanced ability to prioritize/plan in a fast-paced environment. Ability to have a sensitive approach to difficult situations. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship. Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification. Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
