Rocket Lab's People & Culture team is responsible for looking after our most valuable asset: our people. Across our global teams, the People & Culture team supports our people and departments across recruitment, new staff orientation, compensation, training and development. PEOPLE AND CULTURE REPRESENTATIVE

Based onsite at Rocket Lab's Albuquerque, NM facility the P&C Representative is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the P&C department to relieve department manager or staff or administrative tasks. You will support the P&C Business Partner and P&C organization.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:
  • Conducts weekly new hire orientations, to include presentation of the HR portion of orientation and creating/issuing new employee badges.
  • Maintain personnel medical and I-9 files.
  • Set up new employee profiles and personnel files, to include functions necessary to be completed before and after hire.
  • Schedule drug tests, submit background check requests, and conduct employment verifications for new hires and converted employees.
  • Backup for P&C functions, to eliminate single points of failure.
YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2+ years of experience in a human resources role.
  • Experience with public speaking and presenting.
  • High School Diploma
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:
  • Experience with UKG and/or Workday
  • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification
  • Attention to detail.
  • High level of confidentiality.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
  • Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Must be physically able to commute to buildings.
  • Occasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise.
