Mountain West Bank is searching for a motivated Operations Specialist for our Coeur d'Alene location The Operations Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Operations Manager and Operations Support Manager with department coverage in and of all jobs in the Operations department. The Ops. Specialist will assist with Wire Transfers, fraud, back up various positions such as balancing various GLs, cash balancing, and prepare Monthly Certifications. Assist with questions and requests, referring as needed to the appropriate person.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for backing up other team members including, but not limited to Domestic/Foreign Wires, BSA duties, Non-Post, and foreign items/rates, as needed. Remain up to date on cross training.
  • Balances various GLs in an accurate and timely fashion, which can include, POD Corrections, Teller Cash Balancing, and Foreign items.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve internal and external inquiries in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
  • Collects and compiles certifications for review monthly
  • Balance all General Ledger and internal accounts
  • Process Non-Post and all duties associated with this
  • Process foreign and domestic wires.
  • Handle Fraud emails and correspondence
  • Assist with BSA functions such as CTRs, emails, etc
  • Assist in monitoring the Bank's Fraud Investigation program. Research and respond to potential fraudulent activity.
  • Assist in maintaining CIP program.
  • Process Lock Box and mail room duties as needed.
  • Process Accounts Payable.
  • Assists with maintenance and research requests.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

About You

REQIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 or more years of retail banking experience or a combination of finance and banking.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Impeccable customer service skills

PREFERRED SKILLS, ABILITY:

  • Preference given to those with Jack Henry experience and knowledge of MWB systems, products and procedures.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
