MLee Healthcare is looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to work a 72-hour night shift. This role offers an opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, providing critical respiratory care during overnight hours. The position is ideal for individuals who prefer a concentrated work schedule with extended periods off.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care treatments and assessments to patients with acute and chronic respiratory issues.
- Administer therapies, including oxygen, aerosol medications, and ventilator management, in accordance with physician orders.
- Monitor and adjust ventilators and other respiratory care equipment, ensuring optimal functioning.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests.
- Respond to respiratory emergencies, including Code Blue situations, and provide life-saving interventions.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
- State licensure in New York or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Proficiency in ventilator management, respiratory treatments, and diagnostic testing.
