NDT LEVEL II - $120 per diem, located in Newport News, VA

Job Description

  • Conduct NDT inspections on ship structures, hulls, and components using appropriate methods and techniques.

  • Interpret and evaluate test results according to applicable maritime codes, standards, and specifications.

  • Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports and documentation.

  • Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to address any identified issues.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and shipyard policies.

  • Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment.

  • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians as needed.

Qualifications

  • Certification as an NDT Level II Technician in one or more methods (UT, RT, MT, PT).

  • Minimum of (4) years of experience in NDT, preferably in a shipyard or maritime environment.

  • Strong understanding of NDT principles, techniques, and equipment.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications related to shipbuilding and repair.

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Willingness to work in various shipyard environments and conditions.
