We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic II to join our team at Covenant Logistics. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing repairs on class 8 equipment, inspecting equipment during the repair process, and ensuring all jobs are completed within the expected time frame.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs on class 8 equipment within employee current skill level
  • Inspect equipment during the repair process to determine if additional repairs are necessary
  • Perform all jobs within the expected time unassisted
  • Make satisfactory comments to document work performed on all repair orders
  • Perform preventative maintenance services
  • Perform Department of Transport Truck inspections
  • Perform safety systems checks
  • Perform wheel seal replacements
  • Perform wheel bearing and race assemblies
  • Repair and replace diesel particulate filters and reset ash count
  • Perform break inspections and repairs
  • Perform tire inspections and replacements (including mounts and dismounts)
  • Perform basic batteries and warranty testing
  • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs and use a multi-meter
  • Repair and replace starters and alternators
  • Install and repair satellite systems
  • Diagnose, repair, and replace seats and components
  • Diagnose, repair, and replace radios and components
Requirements:
  • Must pass drug screen
  • Must pass background check
  • Can lift 50 lbs
  • Must be at least 18+ years old
