The Student Affairs Division of the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for the Associate Director of the Office of Inclusion Belonging, whose aim is to build integrated, interactive, intersectional, and innovative ecosystems, partnering with students to make their Pitt experience one rooted in belonging. Key program areas of OIB focus on interfaith, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and international student programming. The Associate Director of the Office of Inclusion and Belonging will report to the Director and focus on engaging and educating Pitt students to meet this mission, while also working with the Director to provide leadership to the team, including 4 program coordinators, a student program manager, two assistant directors, and an administrative assistant. The Associate Director will directly supervise the LGBTQIA+ coordinator. Key partners include, but are not limited to, other Student Affairs departments, the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, and Pittsburgh area organizations that share similar values.

Additionally, the Associate Director will provide leadership for the day-to-day operations of the office, facilitating administrative systems that support the team in providing student learning, social, and support experiences.

We seek a leader who holds expertise in facilitation, student development and experiential education. Successful candidates will demonstrate skills and experience in grounding one's work in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging; as well as experience with facilitation of dialogue and learning opportunities amongst people holding different identities. Additional skills include the ability to work with different groups (students, staff, community) to identify and coordinate initiatives, while assessing their effectiveness and participant learning outcomes. Administrative experience, including supervision, budget management, and strategic planning, strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred, with five years related professional work.

It is every employee's obligation to support the Student Affairs vision: to support the whole student. All employees within the Division will be required to perform duties outside of their department. Additional assignments may include, but are not limited to Welcome Week activities, committees, events, and other divisional and institutional initiatives.
