Job Title: Speech-Language Specialist | Annotation

Pay: $25.00-26.40/hour | Based on Experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 40hrs/week

Location: HYBRID - Seattle, WA | 3 DAYS ONSITE

At the forefront of developing innovative speech and language technologies to enhance customer interactions, our client is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Speech and Language Specialist Annotators to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for transcribing and annotating speech data, playing a crucial part in improving the quality and accuracy of audio experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transcription & Annotation: Provide hands-on transcription and annotation services for speech data.
  • Guideline Implementation: Translate established guidelines into daily work practices to ensure consistent and high-quality outputs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with management on workload scheduling and deliverables.
  • API Familiarity: Understand basic concepts of APIs and apply common sense logic in the annotation process.
  • Data Evaluation: Annotate ground truth data and identify bucket failures in evaluation datasets.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Proficient in English
  • Must be familiar with APIs in general
  • Ability to read off a script
  • Comfortable with computer literacy and typing speed of 50 wpm.
  • Experience working with technical teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in speech transcription or annotation is highly desirable.
