Warehouse Logistics Associate II Position Profile

Humacyte, Inc. is bringing to market a once in a generation scientific technology platform, bioengineering readily available and universally implantable product opportunities focused on improving lives of patients and transforming the practice of medicine. Located in Durham, NC, the company develops and manufactures acellular tissues for the treatment of diseases and conditions across a wide range of therapeutic areas. The company’s innovative technology supports tissue repair, reconstruction, and replacement while overcoming limitations in existing standards of care. Initially developing a portfolio of human acellular vessels (HAVs), to target multiple vascular markets including trauma, arteriovenous access for hemodialysis, peripheral arterial disease, and coronary artery bypass grafting. Humacyte is focused on the development of future markets such as pediatric heart surgery, delivery of cellular therapies, and multiple other novel cell and tissue systems.

We are looking for additional colleagues for our expanding team. Candidates will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively as part of the Humacyte organization. Applicants must be highly self-motivated, with solid communication skills, and demonstrates the ability to work in a team environment.

This position is classified as NOT REMOTE.

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Manager, Supply Chain Operations, ensures basic and moderate scope tasks, routine & non-routine tasks in the warehouse are complete, including:
  • Receiving packages and products for all areas of the company
  • Picking Humacyte product to ship to customers
  • Shipping product both domestically and internationally
  • Periodic Cycle Counts
  • Comply with all safety related material handling procedures and equipment including operating fork-lift trucks and power pallet jacks
  • Adhere to all Humacyte Quality Management System (QMS), cGMP, SOP, and policies
  • Ensuring accurate documentation of activities in accordance with cGMPs
  • Ensure the proper handling of chemically hazardous goods
  • Interfacing with electronic business systems
  • Supporting basic and moderate Qualification and Validation activities (
  • Identifying and communicating process issues to Supply Chain leadership or teams
  • Strictly comply with all cGMP guidelines
  • Serves as a hands-on resource in Logistics and Supply Chain, being able to communicate to other departments on Supply Chain processes and procedures
  • Supports team effort in the effective and timely completion of root cause investigations and CAPA implementation
  • Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • 2–4 years of previous experience of previous experience as a material handler, warehouse, distribution, etc., required
  • At least two years of experience in the Life Sciences industry preferred
  • Required to lift and move smaller size materials physically
  • Physical requirements including stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting of a maximum of 50 pounds
  • Position may require working holidays, weekends and over-time
  • Basic knowledge of cGMP requirements, preferred
  • Previous MS Dynamics GP experience, strongly preferred
  • Experience executing SOPs and documenting work, preferred
  • Works autonomously within established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and/or scientific methods
  • Applies basic logistics skills or operational process to perform routine activities
  • Able to troubleshoot mechanical and/or process issues
  • Understands the assigned duties relate to others in the team and has a basic understanding of how the team integrates with others
  • Works as a team player, participating in activities that involve cooperating with others
