JES Tech is seeking a Lab Technician to support the Nutritional Biochemistry Laboratory within the Human Health and Performance Contract - Biomedical and Environmental Research Department which supports the at NASA Johnson Space Center. This position will provide temporary support to process biological samples for nutritional research and will run analysis using standardized techniques.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Handle and process human urine and blood samples following work instructions and experimental protocols.
• Provide support for general laboratory reagent preparations.
• Support research analysis of samples using existing analytical methods.
• Manage and interpret data.
Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Must have a bachelor's degree in the field of Nutrition, Biochemistry, or a related.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Proficient with running Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assays (ELISAs).
• Proficient in standard laboratory assay and protocols including pipetting, making buffers, measuring volumes, concentration calculations, and serial dilutions.
• Ability to implement existing analytical methods and manage and interpret.
• Ability to utilize analytical instrumentation including Spectrophotometer, pH meter, Chemistry and protein analyzers.
