Medical Technician Apprentice

- Position Summary
- The Medical Technologist apprentice works directly with trainers who are certified as Medical Technologists or Medical Laboratory Technicians to learn required clinical skills supported by comprehensive mentoring. Training includes direct instruction in the areas of pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytic skills and knowledge in clinical foundation areas of chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, immunohematology, hematology and microbiology.
- Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Baccalaureate degree in science or life sciences, or Baccalaureate degree with minimum of 32 credit hours of science or life sciences required.
- License/Certifications: ASCP Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist within 6 months of completing all CLT program requirements.
- Experience: Some laboratory experience preferred
- Oral and written communication needs to be professional, clear and concise.
- Must be able to work any shift, holiday and/or weekend as needed.
- Must be able to travel among company sites as needed.
