Production Scheduler II

Position Summary
The Production Scheduler works together with purchasing and the production supervisor to align the production and shipping departments with the product needed to meet customer demand. The Production Scheduler is the primary liaison between Customer Care and the plant and is focused on our On Time Delivery objectives. The Production Scheduler will report directly to the Materials Manager.
Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate scheduled dates in ERP and communicates as needed.
- Reviews the backlog with regular cadence and proactively meets with production and purchasing to address potential delivery misses.
- Collaborates with Purchasing, Materials, Manufacturing, Customer Care, and Sales to identify challenges and solutions to meet customer order fulfillment dates.
- Responsible for delivery to Strategic OEM accounts.
- Coordinates with the Shipping department to help ensure on time delivery.
- Addresses inquiries such as order status, expedite requests, etc.
- Reports on delivery metrics
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skill Required
- Associates degree in a related field, or equivalent level of experience.
- Proficient with SAP
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- A positive "can do" attitude, professional demeanor, performance oriented, and strong customer focus.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to read specifications, route sheets, blueprints, charts, test information, and bills of material.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, ratios).
