Our client is currently seeking a Quality Engineer for their manufacturing facility near Akron, OH.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the plant's quality program
  • Ensure assembly operations meet company and customer specifications.
  • Manage new processes and implementation in regards to new product launches
  • Participate on plant continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in customer meetings
  • Participate in quality reporting and management review process.
  • Provide process improvement recommendations

Qualifications

  • BS/BA from an accredited college or University highly preferred; technical degree a plus
  • 3+ years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with formal Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement projects
  • Six Sigma Green Belt training or certification highly preferred.
  • Strong software experience with software systems such as Minitab or other statistical software packages
