POSITION: Chief Financial Officer

SUMMARY

The Chief Financial Officer, reporting directly to the
President and CEO, will have primary responsibility and oversight of the
operations of General Accounting, Patient Accounts, Information Systems, Risk
Management, Compliance, and Payroll.

DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. This executive level position’s major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the completion of accurate and timely financial reports for Orthopaedic Institute for Children (OIC) and Orthopaedic Foundation (OF).
  2. Interaction with, and the furnishing of reports
    to, the Board of Directors (OIC) and
    Trustees (OF) of the respective organizations.
  3. Coordination and preparation of annual
    operating and capital budgets.
  4. Submission of tax returns to Federal, State and
    local agencies.
  5. Coordination of annual audits and other reports
    due to government agencies.
  6. Coordination of various insurance renewals
    (healthcare and general liability, property, directors and officers liability,
    workers compensation program) and there selection
  7. Monitors OIC’s and OF’s compliance with
    covenant ratios.
  8. Prepares quarterly and annual reports to bond
    holder and bond trustee.
  9. Coordination, preparation and reporting of
    OIC’s program reports.
  10. Coordination
    and preparation of the 340B Factor Replacement Product (FRP) report.
  11. Submission
    of annual proposal to Department of Health and Human Services for indirect cost
    rate.
  12. Submission
    of required quarterly DHHS reports for existing NIH and Federal Grants.

  • Ability

    operation of a personal computer, systems and application software required (MS
    Office, ADP, and Outlook).

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
  • Regionally accredited
    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Public
    Health preferred.
  • Master’s degree
    preferred.
  • 5 plus previous years
    of experience in finance preferably in a not-for-profit healthcare setting.

Complexity:

Ability
to perform highly detailed work with sustained attention and ware while
providing/obtaining information on numerous inquiries is paramount to success
in this position.
