The Surgical Technologist position at Seattle Reproductive Medicine will allow you to work closely with a multidisciplinary surgical team to provide excellent patient care while making a difference every day.
We are looking for a Part-Time Surgical Technologist to join our dedicated team at Seattle Reproductive Medicine located in Seattle, WA. This position will be 20 hours per week, 10 - hour shifts working Mondays and Wednesdays.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in a variety of surgical procedures while maintaining aseptic techniques and proper equipment usage.
- Prepare and maintain surgical setup and sterile field, ensuring availability and sterility of necessary equipment and assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and providing support.
- Anticipate and respond to surgical team needs promptly.
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control protocols.
- Assist with patient positioning, draping, and prepping as per surgical protocol.
- Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure patient care and safety.
- Clean, sterilize, and dispose of instruments and equipment after each procedure.
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain proficiency in surgical techniques.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
- Assist with room turnover, decontamination, sterilization, and equipment maintenance.
- Manage daily workload efficiently in collaboration with the surgical team.
- Coordinate with inventory supply coordinator to ensure adequate supplies for surgeries.
- Collaborate with external equipment representatives and vendors to ensure equipment functionality.
- Uphold regulatory compliance and AAAHC, Department of Health and other regulatory agency guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
- Washington State Department of Health Surgical Technologist licensure, required
- Completion of Surgical Technologist Program, preferred
- Maintains current BLS
- Great interest in gynecology and working in the main OR, preferred
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 20 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
- Capacity to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods, ensuring readiness to assist during lengthy surgical procedures.
- Proficiency in safely handling and transporting surgical equipment, reflecting a commitment to maintaining a sterile environment.
- Aptitude for lifting and carrying cleaning supplies and equipment as necessary, contributing to the upkeep of the operating room.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adeptly managing multiple tasks concurrently while upholding efficiency and precision.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$30.00 - $41.50 per hour
The compensation range for this position is between $30.00 - $41.50 per hour. Compensation offers will be determined based on factors such as years of experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, dental, life, and vision insurance.
