Vascular Interventional Technologist position details

  • Type: 13 weeks contract
  • Start/end date: ASAP
  • Shift & Schedule: 4 -10-hour shifts, call 1 weekend a month, 40 hours/week. 
  • On call requirements: $53/hour
  • Dress code: scrubs provided.
  • Location: Kirkland

             Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for procedures, including obtaining medical histories, explaining procedures, and positioning patients on exam tables.
  • Assist physicians with invasive procedures, including catheterization, angiography, and other vascular interventions.
  • Operate specialized medical equipment, including ultrasound machines, fluoroscopes, and angiography equipment.
  • Administer medications and contrast agents as needed during procedures.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment used during procedures.
  • Communicate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
  • Ensure that all necessary paperwork, including patient records and billing information, is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

                 Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited program in vascular technology or a related field.
  • Certification from a professional organization, such as the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current State of Washington Radiologic Technologist Certification
  • At least 18 months of Neuro-Endo vascular experience (Thrombectomy, SAH, Coiling, stent assisted coiling, Cerebral Angiograms) to include working with Bi-plane equipment and imaging.
  • Strong understanding of medical procedures, equipment operation, and patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Two (2) positive work references
  • Successfully complete and pass a background check and drug test.
