Job Summary

The Interventional Radiology Technologist plays a critical role in the completion of invasive vascular imaging procedures, working closely with physicians to ensure accurate and effective results. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in the completion of invasive vascular imaging procedures, including cerebral, peripheral, and visceral angiography, stent placement, angioplasty, and thrombectomy.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of electronic equipment, including physiological monitors, digital subtraction angiography, cine radiography, contrast injectors, and radiofrequency ablation devices.
  • Perform the role of scrub, circulating, and monitoring technologist, ensuring the safe and efficient completion of procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all exams that can be performed in the Cardiac Cath or Interventional Labs, and be able to explain components to patients and their families.
Requirements
  • Current ARRT certification
  • Current State of Washington Radiologic Technologist Certification
  • 1 year of experience in radiology setting
  • Experience with vascular imaging procedures, including cerebral angiography, embolization, and thrombectomy neurologic procedures
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider certification
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS Provider certification
