Overview We are seeking a mid to advanced level software release coordinator to primarily drive our software deployment process and work with us on the systems that support our projects. We are looking for an individual with a range of technical skills, someone who knows how to set up and interact with servers, set up websites, work with web certificates, and can help troubleshoot web servers, database servers, and the sites run on them. If you are passionate about working with management, requirements, development, QA, and deployment teams and want to make a difference where you work, then this is the position for you. Responsibilities Primary duties are to control the deployment of software packages to multiple servers and troubleshoot issues, both automated (CI/CD) and manually. This will include scheduled releases, urgent releases (hotfixes), and patches as needed, and may also involve flexibility and knowledge enough to troubleshoot potential issues. Should be able to systematically test the sites and their accessibility, and troubleshoot the issues as they arise. Must be able to facilitate the restrictions and constraints associated with government and other related requirements, for development and production servers, in accordance with mandated contractual requirements for cybersecurity. Be a friendly and patient problem solver in a collaborative environment. Be familiar with MS SQL and related tools. Must be able to work with environments from an instructional point of view, and be able to convey instructions in written and verbal form to production hosts. Be able to document and follow documented steps for completion of duties. Is familiar with the setup and deployment of web sites using IIS, including .NET Framework, .NET, static html, and RESTful APIs. Demonstrates patience and flexibility with development and QA staff to make sure releases are effective and timely. Has knowledge of software development, QA, server management, and source control. Has familiarity with Azure DevOps (or similar project management software, like Jira). Is self-directed and an aggressive problem solver Has excellent troubleshooting server issues Has excellent communication and collaboration skills US Citizenship required Additionally: Knowledge of SQL Server is a plus. Knowledge of basic development technologies is a plus. Knowledge of automated testing, unit testing, and other QA tools. (Selenium, Postman, etc) Knowledge of power shell. Knowledge of cloud deployment. Education A bachelors degree in computer science (or other relevant concentration) required. An additional three years of directly relevant software development experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
