As a Business Analytics Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Analytics team in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights that drive informed business decisions. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization within a real-world business context. You will work closely with experienced analysts and professionals, contributing to projects that impact various aspects of the company's operations. The intern will work closely with supply chain professionals to develop skills and understanding in this dynamic field. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply supply chain best practices, and contribute to the successful execution of projects. In this role, you will begin to develop technical subject-matter expertise while contributing to MFT's growth and innovation.

What You'll Do

  • Data Collection and Cleaning
    • Collaborate with different departments to gather relevant data from various sources.
    • Clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation
    • Apply analytical techniques to uncover patterns, trends, and correlations within the data.
    • Assist in developing statistical models to support decision-making.
  • Reporting and Visualization
    • Create visually appealing and informative dashboards, graphs, and reports using data visualization tools.
    • Summarize findings in a clear and concise manner for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Insights and Recommendations
    • Contribute to the identification of key business opportunities and challenges through data analysis.
    • Assist in generating actionable insights and recommendations based on data-driven findings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate with teams across the organization to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
    • Participate in meetings and discussions to share insights and contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Learning and Development
    • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging tools in business analytics.
    • Actively participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills.

Required Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a passion for data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, or similar.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or others.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings effectively.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Prior experience with statistical analysis, data modeling, or programming is a plus.


Duration

This internship position is a 10-week program, starting May 2025. The exact duration can be discussed during the interview process.

Location

The internship will be based at our Carol Stream office.
