INFOSEC concerns effective classification, dissemination and safeguarding methodologies for protection of classified national defense and other sensitive information originated or controlled by Federal agencies. Job Duties: Identifying information requiring protection through Security Classification Guides (SCG) Development of classification guides, document marking, safeguarding, and use Personnel access controls and Visitor access rosters Must be familiar with physical storage and control; security education Transmitting, transferring, reproducing, derivative classification, and destroying information in accordance with (IAW) Army Regulation (AR) 380-5 Assist in the development, planning, monitoring, instructing, and implementing of effective INFOSEC programs for ARNG. Perform oversight reviews to monitor program implementation and practices throughout the 54 ARNG states and territories. Process requests and questions from states’ security managers for INFOSEC support and assist with automating the state request system. Interpret National Security requirements to update, develop, and implement ARNG INFOSEC policies and procedures on matters pertaining to processing, dissemination, and controlling of classified materials. Conduct INFOSEC workshops, security briefings, and security education programs for ARNG throughout the 54 states and territories. Support Army Protection Program Assessment (APPA) trips to help assess and improve the INFOSEC programs throughout the 54 states and territories. Qualifications Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years or more of related experience; four (4) additional years or more experience in lieu of a degree. Required Security Clearance: Active TOP SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI (US Citizenship required). Required Skills and Training: Security training equivalent to that of the Center for Development of Security Expertise (CDSE) STEPP (Security Training, Education, and Professionalization Portal), including INFOSEC-focused courses such as: Classification Conflicts and Evaluations IF110.06 Derivative Classification IF103.16 Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) IF141.06 Identifying and Safeguarding Personally Identifiable Information (PII) DS-IF101.06 Information Security Emergency Planning IF108.06 Introduction to Information Security IF011.16 Marking Special Categories of Classified Information IF105.16 Original Classification IF102.16 Security Classification Guidance IF101.16 Transmission and Transportation for DOD IF107.16 Unauthorized Disclosure (UD) of Classified Information and CUI IF130.16 Classified Storage Requirements (Video) Security Incidents Reporting Requirement (Video) (IF003.16) 3+ years’ information security experience and in-depth knowledge of INFOSEC-related regulations and instructions, including: AR 380-5 “Army Information Security Program” DoDI 5200.01 “DoD Information Security Program and Protection of SCI” DoDI 5200.48 “Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)” 1+ years’ experience with assessments, inspections, and/or evaluation of security programs.
