POSITION SUMMARY:
To conduct and document tests as well as operate and maintain all controls or data acquisition equipment in the field and in the lab. Duties include conducting tests, writing technical reports, installing equipment on a variety of refuse vehicles, developing test procedures and work instructions concerning data acquisition and controls.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
- Design, configure and deploy data acquisition and control systems.
- Install different transducers, sensors, and strain gages.
- Collectand interprettest data.
- Operateelectronic instrumentation in multiple configurations with multiple software.
- Perform post process analysis of data received from the acquisition equipment.
- Develop controls for automated test equipment, including hardware and PLC logic.
- Travel to customer sites occassionally - approximately 15%.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
- 3-5 years' experience prefrerred; must have experience in an industrial environmental or test lab
- Detail oriented problem solver withpatience to evaluate multiple solutions to problems.
- Advanced computer skills, the development in advanced instrumentation knowledge, and the aptitude for learning are required.
- Proficiency in Ladder Logic and Structured text coding (IFM Controllers) is a must.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Strong project management and problem solving skills.
- Advanced computer skills with the aptitude and willingness for continued learning.
