Title: Program Assistant I Location: Upper East Side Org Unit: Admissions Work Days: Weekly Hours: 35.00 Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Salary Range: $25.05 - $28.49 *As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices Position Summary Provides administrative and clerical support to department specific programs and initiatives. Job Responsibilities Assists with the planning, organization and implementation of program-related activities and events. Coordinates room reservations and provides on-site support, including assistance with audiovisual equipment set up and refreshments, as needed. Answers phones, responds to inquiries and triages calls to appropriate personnel. Coordinates calendars and schedules appointments and meetings. Prioritizes requests for meetings and coordinates the necessary arrangements for meetings. Maintains inventory of supplies and/or equipment. May order supplies/equipment as authorized or ensures that needs are escalated appropriately. Receives supply orders and confirms accuracy of delivery. May assist with cost control. Responsible for procurement activities related to goods, services, and/or equipment as needed. Responsible for disbursement/reimbursement activities as needed. Assists with data collection. May be responsible for creating and/or maintaining databases. May assist with data analysis. Performs other related tasks such as assisting in organizing and duplicating materials, filing, editing documents/presentations, report writing, outreach activities and meeting minutes. Education High School Diploma Experience Previous related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Well-organized and detail-oriented. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain confidentiality, and exercise good judgment in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Effective oral and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills.
