We are looking for an experienced, dynamic Sales Manager to support our Japanese Supplier Team and be responsible for providing leadership, management, and sales excellence to the Automotive Components Group’s Japanese tier account team and customers, in line with the ACG strategy and growth objectives. This position requires the ability to analyze business situations and develop solutions to gain FANUC bookings, as well as develop and manage team goals that ensure customer needs are understood and ensure that FANUC is selected as the preferred supplier for the application. You will interface daily with provide guidance of internal FANUC America Account Managers and support resources, as well as interface with our direct end users/customers and ASI customers to grow the market share is required.

Your strategic and analytical mindset coupled with fluency in the Japanese culture and language will help ensure your success in the role.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies as a basis for growing the Automotive Components market share in accordance with the established targets

  • Drive for continued growth and development of end user customers and ASI/Integrators that can help achieve FAC targets

  • Provide overall leadership and management of all employees in the group to achieve the identified annual financial, customer, internal and innovation objectives including:

  • Developing employee development and performance plans regularly

  • Completing performance appraisals (PDR’s) on an annual basis

  • Provide mentoring to less experience Account Managers to ensure they are successful

  • Manage and mold the group for the needs today with a path to the future

  • Coordinate the development of sales presentations to demonstrate the capabilities of FANUC Americas

  • Identify, support, and help to coordinate regional trade shows and open houses as requested

  • Lead the development and collection of accurate sales forecast, monthly robot orders and market trends

  • Provide timely and consistent feedback and input to the Regional Director

  • Extensive domestic and international travel required

Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field; or equivalent relevant experience

  • Minimum of five years of selling experience in capital equipment environment preferred

  • 3+ years management experience in sales and technical areas preferred

  • Fluency in Japanese language

  • Established record with proven ability to develop and grow customer base (end users and ASIs)
