Location: St. Augustine, FL 32092 (Mainly remote, with some initial training in office. Must be a commutable distance from St. Augustine, FL)

Hours/Shifts: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Duration: Contract to Hire

Pay Rate: $20-$25/hr

Job Description: We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced or entry-level draftsman to join a local engineering company specializing in structural construction drafting for the residential construction industry. The draftsman will play a crucial role in:

  • Formatting architectural plans for structural engineering purposes.
  • Translating sketches and design criteria specified by the engineer into accurate working drawings.
  • Creating simple designs for new conceptual plans.
  • Collaborating with local contractors to ensure job-specific plans meet their needs.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Experience in a Microsoft Windows PC/Server environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • A Two-Year Technical Degree and/or equivalent education/experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers.
